Addressing the Challenges of Poverty national conference presentation spotlight
By now you’ve probably heard of Employee Resource Networks and how they can help those living in instability. In this session, you’ll learn about Sunshine Communities’ experience with Employee Resource Networks. Through the help of an Employee Resource Network, Sunshine Communities, a large nonprofit provider of disability services, stabilized its workforce when others were struggling in an employment crisis.
You’ll learn the nuts and bolts of an Employee Resource Network, how it helped change the culture at Sunshine Communities, and how Getting Ahead in the Workplace classes changed lives. You’ll also hear how Employer-Sponsored Small Dollar Loans have helped hundreds of Sunshine employees get out of crises, increase credit, and build savings. Finally, you’ll learn how you can start an Employee Resource Network in your own community, including a typical budget for start-up costs and direction toward local resources for help.
