Addressing the Challenges of Poverty national conference presentation spotlight

As we begin the Bridges work, it becomes clear that we cannot do everything by ourselves. There are far too many issues that need to be addressed where the need for collaborations in the community becomes not just good, but essential. See how Muskogee, Oklahoma, uses training and collaborations with attorneys, recidivism reduction efforts, and dentists for free dental care to successfully address communitywide issues that affect poverty.

Learning objectives include:

  • Learn how to partner with community leaders from all sectors to achieve a common goal by using Bridges vocabulary.
  • Gain ideas to think outside the box to overcome barriers Investigators have shared in class.
  • Come up with suggestions to spread the Bridges message across your communities.
