About Gary Rudick

Gary Rudick is a 35-year veteran of law enforcement in Oklahoma, serving the citizens of the state as a patrol officer, supervisor and chief of police. He has a Master’s in Criminal Justice and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy, Session 242. He led one police agency to receive the International Association of Chiefs of Police Civil Rights Award, and the same agency was recognized for achieving state accreditation. In 2008, he created the largest school policing agency in the state of Oklahoma when he created and led the Tulsa Public Schools Campus Police Department, achieving both state accreditation and national recognition for the policing techniques that are unique to an educational environment. These techniques were based on the principles of Bridges out of Poverty, including Tactical Communication, and served as the focus of effective policing for officers encountering the effects of generational poverty in public schools.
