Events & Resources

Want proven strategies and information to work more effectively with under-resourced and first-generation college students? With workshops, public training events, book studies, and many other resources, College Achievement Alliance has solutions for every institution. We can tailor solutions to your budget, timeframe, and the particular needs of your institution. We are your partners in improving retention and completion, and our goal is to help you succeed.

Workshops at Your Location: We have workshops appropriate for faculty, professional staff, administration, and hourly staff on topics ranging from understanding under-resourced students to creating a more supportive campus environment, enhancing pedagogy, and increasing student motivation. You will learn strategies that are easy to implement, high-impact, thorough, and have proven results.

Attend an Event: Public events are offered via online professional development or face to face at various locations around the country.  With sufficient demand, these events may be offered as workshops on your campus.

Trainer Certification: Learn more about becoming a College Achievement Alliance Certified Trainer, which allows recipients to take this information and conduct training on their own campus.

Book Study: A book study of Understanding and Engaging Under-Resourced College Students is a good way to launch College Achievement Alliance in your institution. Books can be ordered at a quantity discount. Click here for a free URCS book study guide.

Surveys: Our campus assessment survey is a way to help you gauge how much your faculty and staff understand under-resourced college students before training begins, and how much they learn through the training. Results of the pre-training survey assist our national consultant in shaping the presentation to serve your faculty and staff most effectively.

Ongoing Support: How do you find out more about how others are using College Achievement Alliance? Where do you turn for quick answers to questions or in-depth support in planning and implementation? We offer a range of resources on our ongoing support page.

Free Resources: Who doesn’t like free?  Check out our audio, documents, and videos on our Free Resources page.
