Youth

Getting Ahead is used successfully with youth ages 16-24 in a variety of settings – foster care, transitional housing, criminal justice facilities, schools, and elsewhere. The purpose is to help low-income young people understand that they have choices, they can build resources, and they can achieve self-sufficient lives.

With middle-school-aged youth, a resource called The R Rules: A Guide for Teens to Identify and Build Resources can be used as a precursor to Getting Ahead.
