Emotional Poverty Book CoverRuby Payne, author of A Framework for Understanding Poverty, is touring throughout the U.S. to promote her new book and professional development training, Emotional Poverty.

Payne’s previous national tours for Framework were wildly successful; her speaking engagements alone have reached more than 1 million people. Framework has sold nearly 2 million copies and is credited with changing the conversation in education.

Now Payne’s new book, Emotional Poverty, is poised to do the same.

This book and professional development workshop can help teachers and others:

  • Support those who may have experienced trauma
  • Reduce anxiety, anger, and violence
  • Triage to focus on the highest needs

You can also join Ruby Payne live in person to hear an overview of the book, learn about the strategies it contains, and gain ideas for implementation. The work can be used in your school, district, or any other place where people live with the effects of living day-to-day and just getting by.
