Revised Framework Workbook: 10 Actions to Educate Students

As many of you will notice, we have revised and updated the Framework workbook to enhance educational impact. One of the persistent comments and concerns we have heard over time is that individuals appreciate the information on hidden rules and resources and language, but they don’t know what to do with that information in the classroom. Many of the workshop participants would go away without knowing specific actions they could take when they got back with their students.

In the new workbook, we made the strategies more clear by identifying the 10 actions that need to be taken in the classroom and why. We have:

Put in new case studies
Updated the quizzes on hidden rules
Included several new instructional strategies

In the appendix, we have several articles, including essays on working with parents, getting parental and community involvement, and introducing the concepts of a cognitive model (new).
