Presenter Proposal Application


    Two-Day Conference: Sunday, September 25 – Tuesday, September 27, 2016

    Please complete the application below. If you wish to propose more than one presentation, please submit a separate application for each presentation.

    Proposed presentations will be evaluated on how helpful and practical the presentation will be to our audience. We are looking to feature presenters with practical, real-world experience. The sessions should be designed and delivered by experienced practitioners who wish to reach out to colleagues to share their experiences and practices. For consultants or community presenters, we strongly encourage partnering with a person who has implemented the practices you will be describing.

    Presenters are required to register for the annual conference. As contributors, presenters are not reimbursed for lodging, travel, audiovisual rental, or conference registration.

  • Breakout sessions will run concurrently for 90 minutes.These sessions are not designed to be “sit and get.” Conference feedback consistently indicates participants appreciate well-organized sessions that include activities, demonstrations, usable materials, and time for questions and interactions with other audience members.

    Presentations likely to engage larger audiences may be scheduled more than once. Please do not submit a proposal unless you can present your session at any time during the conference. Sessions will be scheduled throughout the two days.

  • In approximately 100 words or 1,400 characters, describe your presentation. The best descriptions help attendees know exactly what you will be sharing and why it might be useful to them. Please include outcomes (i.e. what participants will know or be able to do as a result of this session). aha! Process may edit descriptions.
  • One presenter and co-presenter can be listed in the event materials. Information for at least one presenter is required. The presenter listed will be the contact person for aha! Process, Inc.
    All presenters must register for the conference and cover their own registration fee, travel, and lodging expenses, as well as any handouts or presentation materials. The discounted registration cost for presenters will be $395.   • Audiovisual needs:

    An LCD projector and screen will be provided in each breakout room. Each presenter will be responsible for bringing their own laptop, as well as speakers for your computer if needed for the presentation. The rooms will not require microphones or sound systems to project the presenter’s voice.

    Statement of Intent:

    By completing the Presenter Proposal Application, you agree to all copyright laws, including appropriate citation of sources and the responsibility to obtain any necessary permission to use copyrighted materials.

    By participating in this conference you authorize aha! Process, Inc. to use any photographs or audio/visual recordings of the event in which you may appear, understanding that such use may include both promotional and documentary purposes, including use on the Internet.

    Formal notification of acceptance will be e-mailed on or before June 1, 2015.

    All presenters will be asked to provide an electronic version of their PowerPoint presentation no later than July 18, 2015. All attendees will be provided electronic copies of the PowerPoint presentations.
