CharityTracker is an easy-to-use, HIPAA-compliant, web-based, client case management system that was born out of our local community’s response in 2006 to Hurricane Katrina. Here’s what happened: In our local community, we had 330 evacuees from the Gulf Coast who had fled what was a very devastating situation there. Many did not have a place to stay, they had no food to eat, they had no clothes. And our local helping agencies were struggling to figure out a way to connect those who had the resources with those who needed them.

So our local community came up with a way of putting everyone on the same page at the same time with CharityTracker. And today we’re in more than 1,000 cities across the United States, pretty much working from that same initial challenge, just being able to connect and streamline the helping process. And along the way making agencies and communities more effective and more efficient in delivering helping services.
