Ruby Payne spoke in Kentucky recently, and Bowling Green TV station WNKY was there to cover the event. Among the topics Payne focused on were, emotional poverty, emotional well-being, and classroom violence.

Hundreds of educators gathered at the workshop to hear Payne share her strategies and insights for the classroom. According to the WKNY piece, school safety coordinator of the Adair County Board of Education Robbie Harmon said, “Sometimes we have to look at things through a different set of eyes as educators. The biggest thing that we’ve learned today is that one size doesn’t fit all for every discipline issue.”
