Salvation Army Announces Statewide Poverty Initiative (07/12/2013)

The Salvation Army presents a free, one-day Bridges Out of Poverty training in Norman, Oklahoma. The event is a first-stage “bridging” event to connect resources, discuss poverty locally, and begin promoting the subsequent stages of the initiative. As usual, Bridges Out of Poverty is educating a wide audience about everything they can do to help themselves and others out of poverty: “Organizations invited include persons representing health care, social services, faith-based groups, legal, housing, educational, civic, municipality and various other entities.” Read more…
