Addressing the Challenges of Poverty national conference presentation spotlight
Experience how CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) volunteers help families who have lost custody of their children due to allegations of abuse and neglect. Participants use case studies and interview transcripts to research the case and make recommendations to the court about what is in the best interest of the children. They also focus on the special vulnerabilities of families in poverty when they try to navigate the requirements for reunification with their children.
