Through Bridges Out of Poverty Initiative, Food Banks Seeks to Change Public Perception of Poverty

The Food Bank of Lincoln wants to start a conversation about hunger and poverty at a level the city has never had before. To that end, the Food Bank hosted a meeting Tuesday of community leaders at which a Nevada woman talked about her organization’s efforts. Cherie Jamason said her organization has begun workshops for low-income people and others who want to learn about the causes of poverty and hunger.
