In Davidson County of northwestern North Carolina, community members participated in a Bridges Out Of Poverty pilot program brought to town by Goodwill Industries. “We looked at what’s going on with them at that moment,” said Janice Richardson, Lexington Career Connections coordinator and co-facilitator. “The focus was to teach them to make plans and see past today.”
