Bridges of Hope Turns Life Around for Oklahoma Woman

Tina Bushee was struggling: without a high school diploma or a steady job, she relied on her husband and two children for support. Her old high school in Delaware County, Oklahoma had shut down, making it difficult for her to prove she attended and get her G.E.D. But when she started attending Bridges of Hope classes, she learned the right skills and attitudes to put her life back on track. She got her G.E.D. in August 2013, and now studies nursing at Northeastern Oklahoma University, where she hopes to graduate in Spring 2016. “These classes have given me a better mindset and motivation to life,” Bushee said. “It’s very helpful wherever you go; people in poverty need this program in their lives.”
