Dr. Ruby Payne, Ph.D., CEO of aha! Process and author of A Framework For Understanding Poverty, has won the Golden Lamp Professional Development Award for her book and the great work surrounding it. Every year, the Association of American Publishers (AAP) hosts the REVERE Awards, the highest honor in learning resources, and the Golden Lamp is one of the awards it gives out. Originally published in 1995, A Framework For Understanding Poverty has sold over 1.5 million copies. Ruby Payne just won the award for the books 5th Edition. “It’s an honor for our work to be recognized alongside an outstanding group of finalists and by such a prestigious organization,” Ruby said.
